"We've come a long way since we first launched our site in November 1996. We started out as a small site with a few Mobile Detailers discussing marketing and detailing techniques. Over the years it has grown to encompass many areas of the auto appearance industry and is one of the most popular car care sites online today".
To put it in perspective, Mobileworks was launched only 7 months after Yahoo® launched it's highly successful IPO in April of 1996 and two years before Google™ (Some Google™ Trivia - In 1998 Google™ was still in Beta with 10,000 search queries each day. As of December 2006 Google™ employed 10,674 people worldwide, More employees than searches only 8 years earlier.)
From 1993-1996 Dan Ekenberg, Founder of Mobileworks operated a successful Mobile Detailing Business in Boise, Idaho. "He remembered the many people coming up to him while detailing and asking how to go about starting a Mobile Detailing Business and the idea for Mobileworks was born".
The goal of Mobileworks is to provide resources for aspiring entrepreneurs looking to enter into the business and to assist those already in the detailing business.
Through the generous contributions and expertise of many industry leaders our site has compiled an extensive library of articles on various topics related to the auto appearance industry.
Our policy has always been not to sell any of our own products or to participate in distributorship programs. This policy allows us to bring our visitors the information they are looking for from a wide variety of suppliers and training facilities.
Visitors can find just about anything they need to establish a new auto appearance business or to help their current business operate at peak efficiency.
