About Pail Pal
From The Inventor
Hello, my name is Rick Thibault and I am the inventor of the Pail Pal™. One day while washing my motor home I found myself doing a pretty silly but very common thing, I was pushing a flat bottom pail on a concrete driveway with a brush attached to a pole. Needless to say this is not a very efficient way to move a bucket and it usually resulted in spilling the contents of the bucket before I was finished.
So I decided to look in some of the industrial catalogs for something creative to do this task and found nothing, I then searched the Internet and still found nothing, which was a real surprise. Well, at this point it seemed to me that it would be a neat idea if I could invent a product in which one could sit down next to the bucket while cleaning rims and things of that nature. So I worked up a prototype and realized that this device could also be used with the bucket tool aprons in the skilled trades and many other occupations. In short, I had designed the Pail Pal™ to be a user-friendly product, which will prevent it from becoming a dust collector in your garage.
CONSTRUCTION OF THE PAIL PAL™
Through my many years of being a machine repairman, I have had the opportunity to see many processes to make light but strong products and have been most impressed with structural foam plastics. By using this molding process the products are of a robust industrial strength and are non-conductive, non-rusting and non-corrosive. You will see this type of plastic used in many applications such as toolboxes, auto ramps and rough duty carts. While looking at stools for auto techs I also discovered that most of the wheels were to small and would easily get stuck in cracks so I enlarged the ones on the Pail Pal™ to a 3.5 inch urethane coated wheel for quieter more fluid movement. By adding a handle to the Pail Pal™ this clearly made the Pail Pal™ a revolutionary type of cart.
ERGONOMICS OF THE PAIL PAL™
I have been in the trades for over thirty years and have been exposed to many work environments with most of them consisting of carrying or lifting something that my lower back felt for the rest of the day if I was lucky. A lot of spaces were also very restrictive such as utility closets so I designed the Pail Pal™ in a way where it will not get in the way of most workspaces. It fits easily into tight spots yet doesn't consume a lot of floor space. This product has been designed and tested to hold 350 pounds so placement of materials and heavy tools will not be a problem. By using the Pail Pal™ you now have an option, which provides a stool to work on or from and eliminates back strain.
