Ron Harris and Anthony Orosco of Councours Auto Salon, San Antonio Tx.

Ron's Story:

My step dad was is really into building / restoring cars and Hot Rods. This is the type of environment I was raised in. I would watch what he was doing as a little kid and would be asked to help with the dirty work on occasion. 1996 i left a cushy management position with a southern cal trucking company and went to work for my self doing mobile detailing and weekly washes in the orange county area of so cal. 2000 I spent 5 weeks training with a friend the art of paintless dent removal. I was ok at it the first couple of years fixing small dings. 2004 we lot my father in law to a brain tumor witch triggered an earlier then planed move to San Antonio Texas. Prior to moving here I meet Anthony now my partner through the internet. Both being mobile we would work some jobs together but were still separate. We both had the same vision about what a recon shop should be. Every now and then we would look at buildings for a joint effort but always were afraid of the commitment. In 2008 we really started looking hard at having a fixed location. We both really didn't want to spend another winter or summer freezing or sweating our butts off. We felt that to really grow and manage our business we needed to have a fixed location to over see all of the finished work. In Nov of 08 we were in our first building. We have been really flying by the seat of our pants and have been blessed to be busy at our new location from day one. Our neighbors are even impressed. We use as much free market for the shop as possible utilizing the internet for most of this. We plan on having a second location with in the next year
We service all makes and models from a ford focus to a Ferrari 430 We do not turn any one away needing our services and willing to pay. Each customer is treated like a friend and we take the extra time to explain what it is we do and how we will do it. We currently offer PDR, detailing, bumper refinishing, wheel repair, interior repair, touch up, Window tint and paint protection film.

We pull work from the medical professionals in our area as well as from internet advertising, angies list and mechanical and body shop referrals. We are also the Reconditioning center for the local Porsche dealer.

Anthony's Story:

Anthony Orosco started his chosen career of auto detailing in the summer of 1989. He spent the first 2 years learning of and about detailing in Southern California doing work for both private clients and auto body shops.
He moved to South Texas in the summer of 1991 to continue his auto detailing business, then known as Ultimate Reflections. He became the official product tester for Irene Bernardo and Top Of The Line Auto Detailing Accessories and also did some testing for Cyclo Tools.
He became involved with Optimum Polymer Technologies and began testing products for them and also product development helping in the creation of a unique spray on polymer sealant known as Optimum Opti-Seal.
He has now joined up with Ron Harris and formed Concours Auto Salon. A shop which focuses more on auto reconditioning more so than your average wash and wax type shops.
