Las Vegas, NV 2011: DetailBiz is the first to market management software made specifically for the automotive detail business. After over two years in research and development, DetailBiz made its public debut at the SEMA show in Las Vegas on November 1st 2011. With endorsement by the Smartwax – Chemical Guys team, a global leader in professional detailing products and training, DetailBiz is positioned to make a big splash in the professional detailing community.
DetailBiz has been conceptualized and created by industry professionals with an understanding of what it takes to be successful in automotive detailing business. “There’s been a gap in industry specific technologies that needed to be filled” says Ryan White, DetailBiz President, “and it’s been our mission to give detailers a solution that will take their business to the next level. Every industry encounters its own common set of problems that require specific processes to overcome, DetailBiz provides the only platform designed to tackle these specific issues and optimize a detailing business.”
DetailBiz is a cloud web application deployed in the Google App Engine. In basic terms, the software is available anytime on any device that has web access from a desktop to a smartphone. “The mobile detailing segment is growing very quickly” says David Knotek, DetailBiz Executive Director, “we needed to deliver this product on a platform that complimented the mobile business model.” DetailBiz behaves much like a native iPhone or Android app but does so in a browser. It is optimized for touchscreen technologies and positioned as a perfect partner with any tablet device but even on a desktop or laptop, the experience remains the same.
DetailBiz utilizes a subscription model that is common among software applications of this nature. Every new user will receive a 30 day free trial period to decide whether or not the system is right for them. During this trial period the user will receive one on one help from the DetailBiz team to get them familiar with the systems functionality. After the trial period the user can subscribe monthly at $49. Considering the average price per detail service is well north of $100, this system is a relative value if it can deliver on its promise of “total control of your business in the palm of your hand” as stated on the websites homepage (www.detailbiz.com).
DetailBiz, publicly debuted on November 1st 2011 at SEMA 2011, settles firmly as the first to market detail business management software with a mission to lead the entire detailing industry into the next generation with technologies that take each business to the next level.
